What to Expect from a One-on-One Xero Online Training Session

Thinking about booking a Xero training session or looking for some hands-on bookkeeping support, but not sure what’s involved? Here’s what to expect from a personalised one-on-one session designed to build your confidence and help you use Xero correctly and consistently.

Step 1: Submit the Xero Training Enquiry Form

This gives us the information we need to understand your experience level, what you would like help with and whether your Xero file is suitable for training. Once we receive your form, we will be in touch to advise the most appropriate next step.

Step 2: A short phone consultation

Before we schedule any training, we have a quick phone call to clarify your objectives and confirm the focus of your session. If your questions relate to something in your live Xero file, we will ask you to invite us into your Xero organisation so we can take a quick ‘read-only’ look for suitability. This allows us to prepare and ensures your training session stays focused on learning rather than troubleshooting.

Sometimes, what seems like a need for training is actually a sign that something's gone awry in the setup or use of your Xero file. If that’s the case, we’ll suggest starting with a separate Xero Health Check Review. This involves a diagnostic review of your file to check for structural issues, common errors, or missing processes and recommend the resolutions. Once that’s sorted, we can follow up with targeted training based on a clean, reliable setup.

Step 3. Your 90 minute training session

Training is delivered via Google Meet and is interactive, practical and tailored to your needs. We will share our screen so we can explain real examples in your Xero file or switch to a demonstration file where appropriate. Sessions are paced to you and focused on the day to day skills you need to use Xero accurately.

Common topics include:

  • Understanding workflows for bills, invoices and payments

  • Using Spend Money, Receive Money and Bills correctly

  • Handling part payments, over or under payments

  • Reading key Xero reports

  • Using Hubdoc safely

  • Checking your BAS figures before lodging

  • General questions about features or areas of uncertainty

Step 4: After the session

Once the session wraps up, you’ll receive:

  • A video recording of the session which includes a time-stamped transcript

  • A list of any action items discussed

  • Two weeks of email support for the areas covered

You’ll finish the session with greater clarity and confidence, and a personalised plan for what to focus on next.

Pricing

A 90 minute Xero training session is $345 including GST.

This includes your consultation call, file suitability check, the session itself, the recorded video and two weeks of follow up email support. There are no ongoing commitments and no upselling to bookkeeping services.
